Who We Are
Partnership for Active Learning Services, Inc. (PALS) is a community-based agency contracted by Regional Centers throughout California to provide Supported Living Services (SLS) for adults with developmental disabilities. Our mission is to empower individuals to live independent, safe, and meaningful lives within their communities.
PALS proudly partners with Regional Centers including San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center, Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center, Harbor Regional Center, North Los Angeles County Regional Center, Regional Center of Orange County, South Central Los Angeles Regional Center (SCLARC), Frank D. Lanterman Regional Center, and San Andreas Regional Center (San Jose).
Our team of SLS educators and support staff bring over 20 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. All staff members undergo comprehensive background clearance through the California Department of Justice, are CPR and First Aid certified, and complete extensive training prior to working with consumers.
PALS staff are bilingual and trilingual, providing services in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language (ASL)to ensure clear communication and culturally competent care.
Each staff member completes a rigorous hiring process including reference verification, education or experience review, and specialized training covering essential topics such as:
Department of Developmental Services (DDS) regulations
Regional Center systems and procedures
Incident reporting requirements
Welfare and Institutions Code compliance
Community resources and housing programs
The Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act
Adult and Child Protective Services
Public assistance programs including IHSS and Section 8
All employees receive structured training through our Human Resources department before providing direct support services.

What We Do

Supported Living Services (SLS)
SLS provides support to individuals who want to live in their own homes. These services include facilitation, instruction, and assistance for individuals (or their families/advocates) to live independently.

Home of One’s Own
